Stress can make us feel fatigued and exhausted, but the good news is that there are simple easy ways we can reduce stress and naturally stimulate our immune system so that our bodies can recover and find balance. You can easily reactivate your mind and body just by changing your mindset and behavior.
Here are some simple tips you can do to change your lifestyle habits and renew your perspective.

  1. Try something new
    New encounters, such as heading out to a new social event, checking out a new activity or taking a new class at the gym, can provide chemical dopamine explosive benefits to the brain. Studies show that dopamine does not simply make you feel better; it additionally gives you the vitality to want to do more.
  2. Make sure you are getting adequate sleep
    After breathing, sleep is our next basic need and yet most of us do not get enough sleep. Stop your day at least 30 minutes before falling asleep. Avoid stimulating things like the internet, television, and intense conversations. This is the time to relax and prepare your body and mind for a good night’s sleep. Turn on calm music; read a book, take a shower or bath, drink herbal tea, turn down the lights, etc. Create a calming environment at least 30 minutes before shut-eye.
  3. Try team sports
    Exercise is so important to improving health fitness and maintaining a high quality of life. Group exercise is one of the best ways to be healthy. Team sports enhances physical and mental challenges with the excitement of competition and the opportunity to socialize.
  4. Get offline
    Enjoy time with your family or friends, read good books at cafes or parks, or have fun in the city. The weekend is the perfect opportunity to break away from the Internet to refresh body and mind for the upcoming week.
  5. Take a deep breath
    When you start to feel anxious or frustrated, stop, close your eyes and take a few deep slow breaths. Breath deep from the abdomen. Taking a few deep breaths will create a sense of calm and ease anxiety.
  6. Plant a garden
    This healthy activity refreshes your mind and body. The food you grow and eat from your garden will be far more nutritious than the food you buy in a grocery store. Planting and gardening flowers or food helps you get connect with nature and the satisfaction of watching something you plant grow and thrive.
  7. Get away from electronics
    Unplug computers, smart phones, tablets, TVs at least 30 minutes before bedtime. Take the time  to read a book, listen to music, take a bath or shower. Take the time before bedtime to relax the mind and the body.
  8. Stick to a healthy diet
    Sticking to a healthy diet keeps you away from bad foods such as saturated fats, sugar, carbohydrates and preservatives that can affect your stress. Replace all that bad food with vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, eggs and natural foods such as beans, cereals and grains that have essential B vitamins, amino acids and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and zinc.
